AZM Foundation established community-based vocational training centres to strengthen women’s skills, confidence and economic participation. Courses included tailoring, cutting, embroidery, fashion design and fabric painting. Centres were located close to rural communities so that home-based women could access training and learn current designs and market practices, with the longer-term aim of linking their skills to district-level institutions and livelihood opportunities.

Key activities:

  • Four-month vocational courses
  • Tailoring, cutting, embroidery, fashion design and fabric painting
  • Exposure to current market trends and design practices
  • Community-level support for home-based women
  • Development of new courses aligned with local demand

Reported results:

  • 23 batches of 25 female students, implying 575 participants.
  • Whether this figure represents enrolment, course completion, or graduation, and provide an updated total.
