Early Recovery Programme – Low-Cost Shelters

After the 2014 floods, AZM Foundation supported vulnerable families in District Jhang through low-cost shelter, WASH access, community mobilization and recovery assistance. The intervention aimed to restore safety, dignity and more stable living conditions while enabling affected households to focus again on their livelihoods. Hygiene awareness and local masonry-skills development were also included.

Reported results:
- 400 shelters/households and more than 2,400 people with access to secure shelter and WASH.
- Masonry skills of 200 people were reportedly improved.
- 200 vulnerable families: Figure to be confirmed by AZM.
